7015 Paprika – Safari tent glamping in the Isle of Wight
Boutique glamping in Safari tents on the Isle Of Wight (4 of 5)
An unbeatable island experience. One of five stunning new safari tents on the Isle of Wight a couple of miles from the coast of Freshwater Bay and a short drive from the port of Yarmouth. From the veranda of your Safari tent you have superb views across fields towards Bournemouth and mainland UK or down towards the great chalk cliffs of Alum Bay.
The owner of this boutique campsite has thought things through, with top quality 9 x 5 metre safari tents with a double bedroom and bunk bedroom at the back, a double cabin bed in the main living area, an equipped kitchen with fridge, Belfast sink, a wood-fuelled stove for warmth and cooking, a dining table for sociable shared meals, comfortable sofa and chairs and a games compendium.
A private hot shower and separate flushing toilet with hand basin is located at the back of the Safari tent. Electricity points are provided by a 50kw solar panel array, supplemented by mains. Outside, adding to the spacious accommodation is a generous veranda for sheltered enjoyment of the views and evening skies, there is also a communal paddock to the rear for games and BBQ''s. A locally sourced food ''welcome pack'' is also included.
The location is a family run 400 acre sustainably managed working farm. The owners are happy to share their love for the land and show you how it all works - see the cows being milked and (from June) collect fresh eggs for your breakfast. Fresh air, freedom and space are here for the taking, glamping at its best, who wouldn''t enjoy sitting on the veranda with a drink watching the sunset, I did when I was there. The friendly owner Tom is a rich source of local information and even gives you hot water bottles to keep your toes warm at night!
